For what purposes will personal data be processed?
The processing of the personal data provided is exclusively for the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the 3rd Sustainable Sports Symposium from 01.07.2025 to 03.07.2025 by the Chair of Sports Education at Leipzig University. Prof Dr Thomas Wendeborn is available as your contact person.
What is the legal basis for the processing of personal data?
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO (consent), i.e. the utilisation of and consent to the associated processing of your personal data are voluntary.
What personal data is processed?
The following personal data is processed:
Contact details (e-mail addresses, names), as well as information regarding the workplace and employer. Your data will be stored in the data storage of the form in TYPO3 and forwarded by e-mail to the person responsible. The latter uses the data for participant management of the event and for sending information to participants by e-mail before and after the event.
How long will personal data be stored?
Unless consent is withdrawn, all personal data will be stored for a maximum period of one year after the end of the event for internal evaluation and statistical purposes. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent until it is withdrawn.
Is personal data transmitted to recipients, who at Leipzig University has access to this data and is data collected from third parties?
Unless otherwise stipulated by law or you have expressly consented in individual cases, no personal data is transferred to third parties.
What rights do data subjects have?
- Voluntariness and revocation according to Art. 7 para. 3 DSGVO
The provision of personal data is voluntary. Consent to the processing of personal data can be revoked at any time in accordance with Art. 7 para. 3 DSGVO with the consequence that the personal data of the person concerned will no longer be processed. - Right to information (Art. 15 DSGVO)
Data subjects have the right to request information about the personal data processed about them and the possible recipients of this data at any time. They are entitled to a response within one month of receipt of the request for information. - Right to rectification, erasure and restriction (Art. 16 - 18 DSGVO)
Data subjects can request the rectification, erasure or restriction of processing of their personal data from Universität Leipzig at any time. - Right to data portability (Art. 20 DSGVO)
Data subjects may request that the data controller provide them with their personal data in a machine-readable format. Alternatively, they may request the direct transfer of the personal data provided by you to another responsible person, insofar as this is possible.
