Abstract
After studying business administration and sports science, Gregor Hovemann did his doctorate in sports science at the DSHS Cologne. After his time as a scientific assistant, he received several calls to professorships related to sports management. He ended up on the W3 professorship for sports economics and sports management at the University of Leipzig, where he was responsible for teaching BA and MA sports management. In research, he deals with topics such as socio-economic analyzes of sport, in particular labor market research in the field of sports management, financial and resource management in sports organizations, European dimensions of sports management and sports system research, and regulation in professional sports.
